The Red Deer River is Alberta's favorite whitewater run. The river finds it's source close to the Lake Louise ski area. Flowing out of the mountains,  the river passed by our base at Mountain Aire Lodge and tumbles its way east through the town of Sundre and out into the prairies. Greetings and welcome to Nahanni RAFT's wonderful world of outdoor adventure. We specialize in providing affordable outdoor recreation activities for groups. Spring is returning to the Rocky Mountains and the land is full of promise and new beginnings. With the warming days, the snow in the high country is melting and our rivers are starting to rise and valley's are beginning to bloom with life. It is an exciting time to be outside. We are equally excited about the launch of our new venture and the opportunity it will provide you to experience this first hand.

For the past 30 years we have been exploring the wild and beautiful places of North America. We have traveled far and wide, canoeing rivers in the Arctic watershed and sea kayaking the coast of Baja, Mexico. We have hiked the rugged shores of Newfoundland and Vancouver Island and climbed many peaks in between. Introducing people to these places has been our passion. We love helping them foster a greater appreciation for the wilderness and experiencing renewal in their own lives.

In 1989 we began our sojourn with the South Nahanni River in the NWT and continue to provide a world-class adventure holiday there for people who come to us from around the world. Our Nahanni years have given us the opportunity to give back to the people of southern Alberta through a ministry known as the Adventure Extension. Since 1990 we have provided affordable white-water raft day trips for thousands of youth from schools, camps, and church youth groups. Our recent relocation to Canmore, Alberta now enables us to expand our ministry under the name of our most popular offering, Nahanni RAFT (River Adventure For Teens). Age however is no barrier to participating in our adventures. We invite you to join in the near future.
